Recently Retired John Isner Makes Priorities Clear as He Looks to Take On Additional Responsibilities in Post-Retirement Life

The responsibility of a man is to lead his family. Having led American tennis from the height of 6 feet 10 inches, John Isner is now ready to take on new responsibilities after his recent retirement. No more long tours, no face timing finally he has set his priorities for the upcoming years. What are his priorities though?

The 38-year-old American tennis player is known all over the world for his towering height and unusual records. He has been one of the prominent names in American tennis after Andy Roddick in the men’s circuit. His retirement came after a five-set loss to his compatriot Michael Mmoh 3-6,4-6,7-6 (7/3),6-4,7-6 (10/7) in the second round of the US Open a month earlier. He had hidden his face with a towel after the loss in the last match of his career. Retirement is never an easy decision where the mind wants to play but the body doesn’t. The transition wasn’t easy for Isner as well, but after the match, he said he is now looking forward to spending time with his amazing family. Let’s see how is life after retirement for Isner.

John Robert Isner got married to a Texas-based handcraft jewelry designer, Madison McKinley in 2017. The parents of four children have become inseparable on and off the field ever since their marriage. McKinley has been the biggest supporter of John Isner as she has been the constant support for her husband through thicks and thins. She often shares the beautiful moments of her cute little family on social media. The squad of 4- Hunter Grace, John Hobbs, James “Mack” McKinley, and Chapelle Lee Isner along with their mother is having a wonderful time with the former tennis player. Here’s what John Isner says about his family life post-retirement.

“Definitely as it stands right now, I have more time than most dads. So I am taking them to school, taking them to practice, taking them to their games,” John Isner said. Raising up a child is a tough task, and raising four of them is surely tougher. However, Isner is known for his patience and hard work. Surely he will nail this too!

John Isner took his retirement from tennis after playing at the US Open this year. But little did he know, that his astonishing achievements would be the subject of discussions for generations to come. He is known for his top-notch serves on ATP Tours. Isner holds the record for the fastest ‘official serve’ (253 km/h) during the first round of the Davis Cup in 2016. Isner has a total of 14,470 aces in his bag, which is the highest by any individual (742 aces more than Ivo Karlovic). That’s not all! The former number 8 in the ATP rankings has the record of playing the longest tennis match (11 hours and 5 minutes) in the Wimbledon Championships, in 2010. He defeated Nicolas Mahut of France by hitting 113 aces.
