The entire tennis community boiled in excitement over the fact that fans will be a part of the 2020 French Open. This will be the first tournament to host an audience since tennis activities resumed after the pandemic wreaked havoc. However, the tournament organizers were asked to limit the crowd entry to 50% of the stadium’s capacity. Unfortunately, a recent update suggests that conditions have worsened.

A Twitter user notified that the organizers are yet to receive a confirmation on hosting 5000 fans a day.

“What I understood is that we are in a red zone in Paris (therefore gatherings limited to 1,000 people) but that we had to wait for the result of this consultation to have a definitive answer,” the user named Clovis wrote

We’re yet to receive an official decision on the matter. Regardless, fans are unsure if an enormous crowd of 5000 people will be allowed in the stands.

You have Novak Djokovic on one hand, who is technically unbeaten all year. The Serbian bounced back from his US Open disqualification in tremendous fashion by winning the 2020 Italian Open.
