Pickleball is a sport that saw its popularity skyrocket during the COVID-19 pandemic despite being in the fray since 1965. Its current rise in popularity drove everyone to try it at least once. It received another boost in popularity when some of the legends of tennis decided to hold a competition. Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick faced John McEnroe and Michael Chang. The former team won the match and the mind-boggling prize pool. A few months after that bout, Andre Agassi rubs salt in McEnroe’s wound as he talks about the match.

Agassi and McEnroe will return for another pickleball slam in February. However, they will have new partners to play with, and McEnroe will have a chance at redemption. For now, Agassi is the one who flaunts his victory.

The first pickleball slam saw four legends of tennis picking up the paddle to battle it out in the Hardrock Stadium. $1 million was at stake, and the four American stars battled it out with their usual fire. Agassi and Roddick emerged victorious and took home the cash prize. Now, seven months after their win, Agassi is flaunting the cash prize he won from McEnroe.

Pat McAfee, sports analyst and professional wrestler, invited Agassi to have a discussion with him. Eventually, they began talking about the pickleball slam and how it differs from tennis. McAfee then talked about the $1 million prize money upon winning the tournament. Agassi immediately interrupted and started trash-talking his opponent. Without any hesitation, he said, “That I just ripped out of John McEnroe’s pocket“.
