Rohan Bopanna, the doubles world number 1 player reflected on the same while shedding light on the impact that he had off-court.
Despite being a legend, there were certain qualities that Bopanna admired a lot about the 20-time grand slam winner. Not only this, he also reflected on how they used to play cricket in the locker room during Wimbledon.

In a recent revelation, the doubles world no. 1 player, Rohan Bopanna came ahead and showered praise on Roger Federer. Bopanna talked about how the Swiss maestro changed not only the game on the court but also how players connect off the court.
Not only this, he also suggested multiple reasons that were the key reasons behind everyone liking Federer. Bopanna added that despite Roger Federer was a great champion, he always managed time for the players that he met. This us something that separates him from the rest.

“I think how he changed the sport, not only on the court but off the court as well. He was somebody who communicated with all the players, and understood them. Even though he was such a great champion, no matter where he met some players, he was always amazing,” said Rohan Bopanna.

Thus, Roger Federer was a great champion. Despite having a great stature as a player, he managed to take some time off and meet the players. These are some qualities that separated him from the rest, claims Bopanna.

Not only this, but further in the interview, he talked about the special moments that he cherished with him. Bpopanna suggested that the two used to play cricket together in the locker room. Reflecting on the same, Bopanna recalled an instance when they were at Wimbledon and they took a moment to play cricket.
“There were many times where we were at Wimbledon in the locker room, you know, Roger and I used to play cricket. I think there were three times we were at the warm-up area with a similar juncture because we were playing matches which were similar times on different courts, and we happened to be there,” Bopanna further added.
Thus, Rohan Bopanna reflected on the moments that he cherished with the Swiss great. While the two used to cricket together, he admired Federer for his down-to-earth nature.
