The first Grand Slam event of the season hasn’t really delighted the tennis community with almost everyone missing the Swiss tennis legend, Roger Federer, and his miraculous displays. Further, a slew of fans are inquisitive to know whether they will see a comeback from the 20 singles Grand Slam champion after his decision to move away from the court.

Joining their curiosity over the same, Federer’s agent’s wife and the former American tennis player, Patrick McEnroe, have revealed that they are also hoping for his comeback. Here’s what the former tennis players has to say as the entire tennis community misses the 41-year-old tennis legend.

Federer’s agent’s wife was recently featured in the podcast, ‘Holding Court with Patrick McEnroe,’ in a conversation with the American doubles legend. Meanwhile, both the tennis players switched their topic towards the Swiss legend, Roger Federer. Speaking of him, they both agreed that the entire sporting community has been immensely missing his antics on the ATP circuit. Federer, currently, has been inclined towards some off-court activities, particularly, ice skiing.

During his show, McEnroe said that he believes that if Federer would play at a decent level then the fans would still love to see him on the court. Joe Fernadez agreed with his viewpoint after having witnessed the 41-year-old tennis legend’s mesmerizing performances during various tournaments.

She stated, “I remember Patrick though first year he missed the French Open, you were commentating and you said, I’m gonna miss, you know, not watching something special every time he comes onto the court because there was always a moment in a match right that you saw a spectacular shot or something just unique to him”

Even watching Federer practice has often delighted the former American tennis player. Joe Fernadez added that she was amused to witness his playing style, particularly his strokes. So, she also wants to see him out there on the tennis court. Meanwhile, McEnroe expressed his opinion that Federer and his love for the game, made him one of the greatest among the other ATP stars,  including Jimmy Connors and Pete Sampras.

Prior to this, they also talked about the 20 times singles Grand Slam champion‘s kids and how one of them is following in his father’s footsteps. Joe Fernandez amused Federer’s fans by revealing that one of his kids is really interested in the game and they might get to see another tennis player from their family.
