“So Long, London, you’ll find someone,” says the man who has been its favorite for the last two decades! Who can imagine Wimbledon without Roger Federer? The Swiss legend was a regular at the All England Club until he retired in 2022. Last year, he appeared as a spectator and this year, while he was present in the audience to watch Ben Shelton, he also paid his respects to Andy Murray, who is likely to retire soon. But now, he’s left his beloved London for his home country. And all because he’s a Swiftie!

After Coldplay last summer, Federer is prioritizing his daughter’s love for “Blank Space” in 2024 and was spotted in Zurich attending Taylor Swift’s concert at Letzigrund Stadium, which is just over an hour’s drive from Fed’s hometown of Basel. His twin daughters, Charlene and Myla, and twin sons Leo and Lenny accompanied Mirka Federer.

The Swiss maestro also posted a picture of the iconic friendship bracelets he must have traded with some other Swifties, which had snippets of songs like ‘Champagne Problems’, ‘Anti-Hero’, and ‘Wildest Dreams’. And later, the retired pro even caught a selfie with Swift! Federer has shared his love for the popstar’s music before in some of his updates on social media. Back when he posted a glimpse of skiing through the snow, Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” played in the background! And catching a live show of the popstar this summer had always been the plan!

In an interview with PEOPLE in June, the Swiss tennis maestro talked about his summer plans to attend a Taylor Swift concert. “This summer Taylor Swift is coming to Switzerland so of course we’ll go,” he said, already confirming his presence at the concert held today. He also revealed the other musical shows that were already crossed in the checklist. “We went to a lot of concerts last year. We… saw [Bruce] Springsteen twice and Elton John,” he added.

This makes it clear that the plan to be in Zurich exactly the same time as Taylor Swift’s concert wasn’t impromptu. However, the London crowd is missing their beloved player, who may or may not be back before Wimbledon ends. Nevertheless, this moment marked the addition of a new chapter to the 8-time grass champion’s Swiftie diaries.

Taylor Swift’s music is “engrained” in Roger Federer

Taylor Swift may have millions of fans worldwide, but it’s when other celebs show interest in her music that truly creates fan frenzy. When Roger Federer did this in a social media post, a fan wrote, “You choosing a Taylor Swift song is the highlight of my week.” But the fan’s day was about to get better as Federer revealed his inner Swiftie!

“@adri98martinez Tswift is engrained in me….. all the school dropoffs,” said the Swiss legend, who recently experienced a ski adventure that he had to delete from his schedule during the tennis days. Federer’s love for “Bad Blood” is something that his followers are well aware of.

Now all we need is a picture of the whole Fed family with Taylor Swift!
