Roger Federer’s marketing ideas, like his game, are in a league of their own. Recently, as a part of On Apparel, he welcomed the American actress Zendaya with a crazy idea on social media. While it grabbed a lot of attention, it was Karue Sell, who was seen praising the 20-time Grand Slam champion, putting him in the same league as Ryan Reynolds.

The Brazilian tennis player recently took to his Twitter handle to share his take on the forward-thinking marketing idea of welcoming Zendaya into the family. He wrote, “Roger, the goat of marketing. Only behind @VancityReynolds. If you are looking for YouTubers, hit me up @rogerfederer.”

Apparently, he talked about just like Reynolds, Federer has his own marketing ideas that always amaze fans all over the globe. Not only that, he also talked about his anticipation of taking up the role of YouTuber on his team. On the other hand, it all started when Federer posted a photo to his Instagram account in which he imitated Zendaya’s well-known position of sitting in a stadium and letting her glasses fall down her nose. In a collage indicating his admiration for the portrayal, Federer captioned it, “It’s @on.”

Zendaya is the most recent signee of British musician FKA Twigs, who is also supported by Federer. In addition to sending the American actress a welcoming note, Federer welcomed her to the brand with an Instagram story. Upon reposting a marketing video, he said, “Welcome to the On family.”

The Dune actress and Federer, who has a long-standing relationship with On, have previously connected. Zendaya was spotted wearing On’s Roger sneakers while on her Challengers press tour, particularly at a meeting with tennis player Iga Świątek in March.

In addition, even the 27-year-old was excited to join the Swiss brand. She said, “It’s no secret that I’ve been a big fan of On for a long time. I’m always wearing them on set, or when I’m traveling, rehearsing or running around with my dog. So it’s a full-circle moment to make this partnership official.” However, there was also a connection between Federer and the tennis centric movie, Zendaya was a part of.

The mention of Challengers was especially noteworthy because Justin Kuritzkes, the film’s screenwriter, stated that he partially modeled Zendaya’s character, Tashi, after Federer’s wife, Mirka. Kuritzkes said, “She looked so stressed out, every point,” to GQ, saying that Mirka appeared to be under a lot of stress while watching Roger play Wimbledon.

Further, he added, “Why are you so stressed out? You guys have all the money in the world. You’ve won 20 Grand Slams. What’s so stressful for you? It has to be something else.'” However, it will be interesting to see what comes next for the Swiss tennis legend in terms of business prosperity.
