Recently, in an interview when asked about how his wife feels about his retirement and will she be the center of attention. He said, “I’m sure she will be. The last few years were hard for me, but I think they were even harder for her. She really didn’t enjoy watching me anymore, with all the injuries. I felt kind of sorry for her.”

Roger Federer’s wife Mirka, known as Miroslava Vavrinec, is a former professional tennis player. She has represented Switzerland in the Olympics in 2000. In 2002, the two even played together in the Hopman Cup. However, the tennis star’s wife was not able to continue her tennis career after she suffered numerous injuries and decided to retire in 2002.
