Roger Federer is back on the court of Wimbledon. However, to the dismay of his fans, he is not there to play at the green grass-court major. The player paid a visit to the centre court during the centenary celebrations of the court at the Wimbledon Championships.

Roger Federer took to his Instagram to share his favorite moments of the celebration where he shared the stage with various tennis legends who have brought immense fame to the sport.

The Swiss Maestro graced the audience with his presence at the grass-court major. He uploaded Instagram stories of the celebration as well as uploaded a post sharing beautiful memories of the event. He stated, “Honored to share the “centre” stage with so many legends and inspirations.”
During the celebrations, tennis legends like Billie Jean King, Venus Williams, Andy Murray, Chris Evert, etc. were present. Participating players like Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal were also present at the centre court.

Wimbledon is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the centre court. A lot of major players were missing from the celebration because of Wimbledon’s ban on the Russian and Belarusian players.

Many players have condemned the move. And in reciprocation, the ATP and WTA have also stripped the grass-court major off of its ranking points.

Can Federer play a grand slam major?
Aside from that, Roger Federer is recuperating from his knee surgery. He has announced that he will be back at this year’s Laver Cup in September.

However, there can be some time before we see the player appear at some grand slam.

The fans are expecting him to be there at the US Open. However, from the player’s side, there is not any confirmation regarding that yet.
