With his dominating performances on the court and Grand Slam accolades, Rafael Nadal has served as an inspiration for the next generation on the ATP Tour. Even Casper Ruud has idolized the ‘King of the Clay’, while he rarely holds himself back from lauding him on various occasions. However, despite being one of Nadal’s biggest fans, the Norwegian tennis star recently had a different pick when it comes  to the ‘best-looking guy on tour.’

On top of his long list of achievements, Roger Federer’s elegance has earned him a slew of admirers on the tennis circuit. Now it looks like Ruud is one of them, as he recently hailed the Swiss maestro for his “aging like a fine wine” factor.

The former world No. 2 player was recently asked who he would name as the ‘best-looking guy’ on the men’s tour. In his honest response, Casper Ruud was singing the praises of the 20-time singles Grand Slam champion, Roger Federer. He said, “With Federer it’s a bit like “aging like a fine wine.” He looks elegant.”

Now that the Swiss tennis legend has put down his racket, Ruud also named his Bulgarian colleague Grigor Dimitrov as one of the best-looking guys among the active ATP players. He added, “But now that he doesn’t play anymore… Dimitrov also looks good so maybe he is the one among active players.”

When it comes to elegance, the ATP superstar has made his stance clear by picking up both Federer and Dimitrov. However, when it comes to the ‘perfect example’ on the court, the Norwegian player has always named his idol, Rafael Nadal. Prior to his 2022 French Open final against the Spaniard, Ruud said, “I’m looking up to Rafa, the player I’m gonna play in the final, he never complains, he’s a perfect example how you should behave on court, never give up, complain, he’s been my idol all my life.”
