The GOAT debate in tennis is ever-present, like in any other sport. As of now, three names stand out more than any other. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic are at the forefront of the debate. The Swiss Maestro was recently asked the GOAT question in an interview. But since his own name was in talks for the label, the 20-time grand slam champion gave a cryptic response. While his answer was not straightforward, it still caused a major debate amongst fans.

His former coach, Ivan Ljubicic, readily answered that Federer stood above of Djokovic and Nadal both. He stated that it’s not just about grand slam titles, but about the impact they have had on the game.
