Kei Nishikori’s long-awaited comeback to the court

Nishikori recently made a successful return to tennis after dealing with injuries and setbacks for nearly two years. He won his first match on the ATP Challenger Tour in Palmas del Mar, Puerto Rico. Nishikori was out of tennis since October 2021 due to physical problems. Several things happened in January of the following year, including hip surgery and an ankle injury. These setbacks pushed him to take a hiatus from the game.

In an incredible display of skill and determination, Nishikori won his match against Christian Langmo by a final score of 6-2, 6-4 within an hour and after forty-three minutes of intense back and forth. The crowd roared as Nishikori won the final score realizing the importance of a good comeback. Even the chair umpire acknowledged his strong performance and congratulated him: “Well played. Welcome Back”.

Nishikori took to Twitter to express his happiness at being back on the court with fans and supporters. The tennis world has been left with a big void after Federer’s retirement. However, as one chapter ends, another begins. There will be new stars, new rivalries, and the game will go on.
