Novak Djokovic is one of the best tennis players in the world. The world number 1 has won 20 Grand Slam titles and is in a fierce race with both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for ultimate greatness. Apart from tennis, the Serb has always tried his best to give back to society.

He started his philanthropic foundation, the Novak Djokovic Foundation, in 2007 to help underprivileged children attain quality education. As of 2022, the foundation has affected the lives of over 20,000 kids.
Recently, the 35-year-old yet again extended his support for the children of mine workers who tragically lost their lives in the Soko mines.
Novak Djokovic Foundation to donate to the families of coal mine workers
In a sad turn of events, eight miners lost their lives when a shaft collapsed due to methane explosion at a state-owned coal mine in Southern Serbia. World number 1 Novak Djokovic has teamed up with the Serbian Orthodox Church to provide humanitarian aid to the families of the bereaved. As per the announcement, the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Djokovic Foundation will donate 20,000 euros each.

It is certainly a noble gesture by the Serbian tennis legend.
Earlier, the Serb had donated to the Public Healthcare System of the country for the fight against the covid-19 pandemic.
Djokovic set to be dethroned from World number 1 spot
As a result of his quarterfinal loss at the French Open 2022, the 35-year-old will no longer be the World number 1. As per the rankings update after the conclusion of Roland Garros, the Serb will slip to number three in the rankings. Also, former world number 1 Daniil Medvedev will be back at the top again, followed by Alexander Zverev at number two.

Notably, the Russian will be topping the ranks for the second time in his career. While second-ranked Zverev will achieve a career-high ranking. Also, after winning the final of the French Open, Rafael Nadal will now occupy the 4th position.
