Last month saw the 23-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic, suffer a major blow. The Serb failed to defend his Wimbledon title, losing in the summit clash against Carlos Alcaraz. Djokovic dominated the tournament until the final, however, he failed to cross the last hurdle as the Spaniard clinched his first Wimbledon title. The World Number 2 even got emotional after losing a keenly contested final.

Earlier this year in May, Djokovic turned 36. He no longer has the legs as seen of Djokovic from a few years ago. Although he tried to give his best, putting on a consistent show across the length of the marathon match is something that he missed in the final. Recently, American tennis legend, Jimmy Connors talked about Djokovic’s longevity in tennis.
