With his incredible resilience and prowess on the court, Novak Djokovic recently outperformed the Spanish sensation, Carlos Alcaraz to clinch his third Cincinnati Open title. In a three-set thriller in Ohio, it was the 36-year-old who prevailed after rallying to the championship point en route to a 5-7, 7-6(7), 7-6(4) win.

Notably, many prominent figures around the globe are lauding him for his recent victory against the currently ranked world No. 1 player. Even the U.S. presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy is singing praise for Djokovic while retaliating against his own country for their ‘vaccination’ restrictions imposed on the Serb for the past two seasons.

In his recent Tweet, the American businessman said, “Awesome to watch @DjokerNole win a battle in my hometown of Cincinnati last night. Shame on our country for keeping you out last year.”

The 38-year-old expressed his delight upon witnessing the ATP player pulling off a spectacular victory in his hometown of Cincinnati. He further candidly opened up about how such obstacles can only hold back a “champion” like Djokovic for a short period.

The ATP player was previously banned from participating in the Miami Open and Indian Wells Masters owing to this anti-vaccination stance. Taking heed, the American comedian, Bill Maher was left fuming as he also lashed out at his own country for their “stupid” decisions. The 67-year-old asserted that natural immunity was better than the jab given the Serb had already fended off the disease twice. During the conversation, he also reminded everyone how the head of the Miami event also made efforts to get the 36-year-old player into US soil. Maher said, “This country’s stuck on stupid, it really is.”
