There’s more in his life that he’s gone through that came unexpectedly out of nowhere and took him by surprise. According to him, there was a time when a one-night stand ruined his life, including his happy marriage.

There have also been times in the former tennis player’s life when everything went against him. In the new two-part documentary, ‘Boom! Boom! The World vs. Boris Becker,’ the 55-year-old former tennis player, opens up about his life off the court.

Boris Becker on how his one-night stand ended his marriage

The trailer for the two-part documentary about the six-time Grand Slam champion’s turbulent life was recently released on Apple TV Plus’s official Instagram page. In the trailer, the former tennis player is seen discussing his difficulties on the court while highlighting his eight-month-long struggle in prison. And while talking about his love life, the former tennis player opened up about his one-night stand with a Russian model, which resulted in the birth of his daughter and ended his first marriage.

While discussing his highs and lows in that trailer, the German tennis star reflected on his fling with Angela Ermakova in London in June 1999. It took place after his defeat against Pat Rafter at Wimbledon, which ultimately turned out to be his final match before retiring from the sport.

He recalled the moment he met the Russian model eight months after the fling. He said, “She came in, she had a big coat on. She took the coat off and she was heavily pregnant. You just can’t believe it. The wake-up call came very late.”

Not only that, but the former world number one discussed how he met Angela Ermakova, in his autobiography, while his first wife, Barbara, was pregnant with the couple’s child.

How did Becker wind up in this situation?

The German tennis player first met the Russian model when his wife Barbara went to the hospital complaining of pain as she prepared to give birth to their son, Elias. The six-time Grand Slam champion revealed how he met Ermakova in his 2003 autobiography.

He also discussed how the appearance of Hunter, the Russian model, got him off the hook. And just 5 minutes after having small talk, they were down to business, and then, 8 months later, the ill-fated night in London cost the former tennis player nearly $23 million. Not only that, in that autobiography, he also described how he wound up all his courage to share everything with his wife, but eventually, after fighting a lot over the issue, they reconciled. The tennis pro, 55, lost $23 million on his divorce settlement and the care of his illegitimate child.
