While he is not into diets, certain tennis players, like Novak Djokovic, have been adhering to an extremely stringent diet. Recently, the world’s ninth-ranked tennis player expressed his belief that a tight diet is not for him, using Djokovic’s food regimen as an example.

Taylor Fritz goes against Novak Djokovic

Now and then, the 25-year-old American tennis player has been vocal regarding the controversies going around in the tennis arena. Earlier this year, he defended the Serbian tennis player in his hamstring injury controversy. And now, months later, Fritz, in an interview with Style Magazine, has raised his opinion about how he believes the Djokovic diet is something that is not made for him.

He said, “I try my best, but I’m not as good as others. The very strict diet that Novak Djokovic follows with me would not work. To play well, I have to feel good, so I’m careful during tournaments, but when I’m at home, I treat myself to some dinner at In-N-Out Burger.”

Nevertheless, the dedication and discipline of the 23-time Grand Slam champion with his diet fascinate many people. On the other hand, the 25-year-old is happy sticking to his own habits, knowing that it might not be the best diet on tour, but it works well for him.

Even though he is not much into the Serbian tennis player’s diet plan. In January, the 25-year-old defended the world’s second-ranked tennis player over his hamstring injury controversy that took place before the Australian Open.

When Fritz backed up Novak Djokovic’s faking criticism 

The 23-time Grand Slam champion sustained a hamstring injury earlier this year, because of which he was seen taking medical breaks in almost all of his matches during the Australian Open. Seeing that certain media commentators were saying that the injury was not serious, but that someone made it look serious. Hearing this, the 36-year-old tennis star responded bluntly, saying that only his injuries are always questioned.

Nevertheless, after that, even Fritz expressed his thoughts and defended the statement on Twitter, claiming that the media is always focused on top players. And along with that backed Djokovic that some players are vocal about their injuries, but nobody really fakes them.
