Brooke Shields details how her marriage with Andre Agassi would have been a messier affair if they had kids

Recently, in a podcast, the American actress Brooke Shields detailed how she felt during their wedding. The worldwide notion of cold feet came to the renowned actress as well. She said, “I can probably pretty safely say that my first husband and I had equally cold feet on our wedding day.” Furthermore, she said, “I knew as much as I didn’t want to lose him as a person, there was something in my gut that just was too terrified.” Both getting together with Agassi and divorce was an ordeal. She said, “I knew it but I was never a quitter, there was too much pressure. To be divorced as well, I too am divorced.”

Agassi and Shields tied the knot in 1997 and within two years, the couple couldn’t be with each other. During this phase, Agassi was also involved in several on-court and off-court controversies, like testing positive for a banned substance. The 8-time Grand Slam champion later met his now-wife Steffi Graf.

The two tennis legends obviously knew each other. They both were two of the most renowned names on the tennis circuit at that point in time. However, it was during the whole divorce process with Shields that Agassi approached Graf in a romantic manner. Agassi had pestered his coach to set up a practice match with her. Eventually, this led to the beginning of a new start.
