Rafael Nadal is the most successful tennis player in men’s singles. The Spaniard entered the history books after his stunning victory over Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in a five-setter thriller. With this victory, he became the first man on the planet to lift 21 Grand Slam singles titles. Additionally, he leads this race amongst the ‘Big Three’ in tennis with both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic tied at 20 Grand Slam singles titles.

Further, the Spanish legend’s victory Down Under left his fans rejoicing. Emotions were difficult to control as Nadal showed immense grit and determination to overcome a tough opponent. Moreover, his fellow players and other celebrities congratulated the 35-year-old on his achievement. Former World Number 1 Mats Wilander had an interesting incident to share while praising Nadal for his efforts.

The Swedish legend narrated an incident involving Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros. He said, “I was next to him in the locker rooms at Roland Garros, maybe 10 years ago, and I was hearing music. I was getting ready to play a legends doubles. I was hearing this music, and I was like, ‘oh it’s Rafa’ and I would love to know what kind of music he was listening to…”

He went on to add, “And eventually I heard it and it was some sort of Spanish romantic flamenco music and I just melted… He’s getting excited, the music was as relaxing as anything.”
