Great Britain has been performing really well at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. So far, the nation has bagged 10 medals, including four Gold medals. The most recent one came today when swimmer Tom Dean won the Gold medal in 200m freestyle and defeated compatriot Duncan Scott. Interestingly, former World No.1 Andy Murray seems too happy to see his achievement.

In clinching his first gold at the Olympics, Tom Dean set a new national record of completing the freestyle race in just 1 minute and 44.22 seconds.

In a recent video, one can even watch Dean’s friends and family cheering for him back home in Great Britain. Interestingly, Andy Murray retweeted this video and wrote a beautiful caption along with it.

“Love this..sport is the best,” tweeted a cheerful Murray.

Fans became quite disappointed after Murray withdrew from the singles category of the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The two-time Gold medalist injured himself but is somehow managing to play in the men’s doubles category.

He and his partner, Joe Salisbury, thrashed the German pair of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Putz in the second round of the tournament in straight sets. Even in the first round, Murray and Salisbury battled past French Open 2021 doubles champions Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert.

They have now advanced to the quarter-finals of the Games.
