Swiss tennis star Stan Wawrinka was one of the bright prospects once in men’s tennis. Back in 2014 to 2016, he was considered a future superstar. However, his career has been plagued by injuries. He was out of action for over a year because of his left foot injury. Although he made a comeback this year, but he is yet to regain his form.

However, Wawrinka has been very active on social media. He keeps his fans updated on his whereabouts and also keeps opining on the latest trends going on in the sports world. Recently, Wawrinka has shared a story on Instagram with the news regarding F1 star Lewis Hamilton.

Wawrinka Shares a Story Regarding Lewis Hamilton’s Jewelry Ban Protest

In a recent development, the FIA has banned F1 drivers from wearing jewelry in a race. The ban has not gone well with the F1 star Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton has multiple ear piercings and loves his jewelry. However, in a protest to the latest decision by FIA, Hamilton showed up at the pre-race press conference with eight rings, four necklaces, three watches, one bracelet, and his earrings.

The seven-time world champion has a worldwide fan base. Many of his fans appreciated him for his way of registering disagreement with the decision. And One of them is Tennis star Stan Wawrinka. the former world number 3 has shared a story with the news about the Hamiltons press conference.

Although he has given no caption to the story, Stan seems to support the move by the F1 star.

Stan Wawrinka All Set to Play at Italian Open

The three-time Grand Slam winner is all set to feature in the Italian Open. he will start his campaign against the 14th seed Reilly Opelka of America.

The former Grand Slam champion is not looking in a good form this year. The 37-year-old has played two matches since his return and lost both. While his opponent is a young 24-year-old promising player who made it to the semifinals last year in Rome. The two have faced each other at Wimbledon 2019 (only once) where Opelka was the winner.
