If he had prevailed in his third-round match, Shelton would have then faced Novak Djokovic, who defeated him in the semifinals of the 2023 US Open. Notably, a user commented, “Shelton saw that he was losing to Djokovic again if he beated Mannarino and shi*ted on his pants.”
