Stefanos Tsitsipas adds himself with the greats in this stat

From 2019 till 2021*, Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached semifinal or more in all three clay Masters 1000 tournaments and the French Open. Moreover, he has achieved this feat in quite some fashion.

At the 2019 Madrid Open, the Greek professional defeated Alexander Zverev and Rafael Nadal to make it into the final. However, he finished runner-up to Novak Djokovic 6-3, 6-4.

Following that, Tsitsipas overcame Fabio Fognini and Roger Federer to reach the 2019 Italian Open semifinals. He then lost to the Spaniard 6-3, 6-4.

Afterward, the 22-year-old played the 2020 French Open semifinal against Djoker. Although he lost the match in the decider set, Tsitsipas showed the tennis world he is here to stay.

Now, he has reached the Monte-Carlo Masters semifinal, where he will face the Briton, Dan Evans. Thankfully, Evans defeated Djokovic on his way, saving Tsitsipas a third-time nightmare.

Even though the list includes only the active players, it says a great deal about the Greek professional. Additionally, he hopes to defeat the king of clay Nadal at Roland Garros this year.
