World No. 1 tennis star Novak Djokovic, besides his strict schedule that involves following a gluten-free diet, hops on to cheat days sometimes. After defeating Nadal in the 2012 Australian Open, Djokovic celebrated with a piece of chocolate. On being exposed to this rumor in a recent interview at the presser, Djokovic mentioned, “Of course I did (smiling). Yeah, I saw that story kind of circulating around the social media.”

As the Serb remembered the moment, he also explained that the unique way of celebration wasn’t an exclusive event. Revealing his sweet tooth triggered by victories, he added, “I actually try to indulge myself in the dessert. I have a sweet tooth, so to say.”

On being asked about the last time he enjoyed the dessert, Djokovic replied, “Last night.” As the tennis legend confirmed the witty rumor of him celebrating his historical win over Rafa with chocolate, it is quite evident that the fans would get more eager for a future face-off as well.

Djokovic’s words of welcome over Nadal’s comeback

After Rafael Nadal announced his comeback, the anticipation of his face-off against Novak Djokovic has been high up in the sky. Gracing his return with words of motivation, Djokovic said, “He’s not a kind of a player that will come back to the tour just to play — let’s say — on a medium level, play a few matches. He wants to win titles, he wants to be the best, that’s why he is who he is: a legend of our sport.”

Along with hyping up the Spaniard with great hopes, Djokovic also highlighted his firm belief in Rafa’s target on his comeback journey. “I’m sure that his training and preparation is done with an intention to win a Grand Slam,” said Nole.
