During the show, viewers can see Federer playing ping pong against one of China’s most talented Junior Champions, Guo Duoer, aka Pineapple. His enjoyment throughout the game while playing with a seven-year-old showed his enthusiasm and adaptability to new experiences.

While his knees might hurt on hard courts, ping pong, or table tennis, is a much safer solution. “I want happy knees again,” he had said in the commercial. “I’m still a bit scared when it comes to other sports.“My knees are so-so. So that has to wait,” Federer previously commented about his knee injury struggles.

His entertaining performance in a table tennis match against a 7-year-old champion won over his admirers. While talking about his reason for visiting Shanghai and playing table tennis, he said “There are promising champions at every level of the game and I am here to learn from some of the best.”
