In a recent interview, he shared his reasons as to why the Australian star has struggled to win a Grand Slam title.
Back in his day, McEnroe was well-known for being extremely feisty on the court and having a very volatile personality. Like McEnroe, Kyrgios is prone to losing his cool and composure. Kyrgios is one of the sport’s most talented players right now. Nick Kyrgios was just 19 years old when he became the world no.1 in the junior division. Since then, through his consistent performances in this season, he climbed to number 13 in the ATP rankings this month, his highest position since turning pro.
Even though Kyrgios frequently receives criticism for his actions, it is a fact that his volatile behavior draws spectators to his matches. His games almost always have sold-out crowds. During his appearance in the Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic, the Australian became irritated with a spectator, asking that she be removed and describing her in particularly harsh terms.
