Taylor Fritz and Morgan Riddle recently got approved for their international driving licenses. They need them for their upcoming experience. In an interview with C Magazine, Riddle said, “You literally dress up as Super Mario characters and drive around the streets of Tokyo.” Yes, this has been a fantasy for many gaming fans, and Fritz is going to live it.

Riddle adds, “He’s going to be Yoshi and I’m going to be Princess Peach. There’s also a Meerkat Cafe that we really like. We love meerkats.” It seems like they have their intentions full of fun and bags full of costumes.

In addition to being a pro at tennis and gaming, Taylor Fritz is also a mindful boyfriend. He said, “I’m normally pretty tired from training, so I’d rather just stay in and keep it simple. But if Morgan really wants to go out we make the effort.” Tokyo turns out to be an ideal place for the couple to do something more, as Fritz said, “I also really love Tokyo, so that’s where I’ll be motivated to make the extra time to do things.” Fritz looks forward to his upcoming experience as Yoshi, perhaps wanting to take a break from tennis. In fact, there was a time the American may have opted away from taking up the sport at all.

Taylor Fritz wasn’t sure about tennis

Considering the performance of Taylor Fritz, it is hard to believe that he wasn’t sure about tennis in the past. Fritz wasn’t even a great fan of the sport, he said, “I didn’t even watch a ton of tennis growing up, but it was the sport I became best at.” Fritz’s words truly encapsulate his simplicity. At times when Fritz used to be doubtful about his success in tennis, he used to keep modeling as a backup option. 

Today, Taylor Fritz is seen to materialize both of his dreams. Fritz said, “I remember saying to one of my friends when we were 15 or 16 that if tennis didn’t work out I would model, and obviously tennis has opened the door to do a lot of things.”  While Fritz scores aces on the pitch, Riddle helps him ace in his photos. It is rare to be good at so many things, but Fritz does it, and the most likely reason for this is that he enjoys it all.
