The feisty Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has gained a name for himself because of his unfiltered opinions and even more unfiltered on-court outbursts. However, his gameplay has improved, which helped him reach his first Grand Slam final at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships against Novak Djokovic. As the Serb breezed past the Aussie in that match, he still is awaiting his first Grand Slam title. But that is definitely not holding him back from giving his straightforward opinions. This time, it was about coaches deviating young tennis players from their goals.
The Australian tennis player sat out this year’s Australian Open to recover from an injury. Currently, as he focuses on his recovery, Kyrgios answered some of his fans’ queries.

Nick Kyrgios slams coaches for holding back young tennis players
The Australian tennis star has gained a name because of his run in 2022. Apart from that, his frequent on-court outbursts have added to his fame.
However, winning a Grand Slam title is still on his list and as the player is recovering from an injury, he took to his Instagram stories to answer some of his fans’ questions. One fan asked, “What do you think holds back young tennis players?” To this, staying true to his personality, Kyrgios gave an unfiltered answer. He stated, “Coaches and people around them telling them s**t advice.”

The Australian player reached his first Grand Slam final last year when he met Novak Djokovic at SW19. After facing a defeat, he hoped to do well at the US Open and at his home major Australian Open.
However, he did not get the chance to compete at the Australian Open because of a knee injury. But there are chances we might see him again in an encounter with Roger Federer.

The answer lies with the Australian tennis star himself. But he has developed some mystery around such an encounter at this year’s Laver Cup.
During the same fan Q&A interaction, a fan posed a question about his presence at the Laver Cup. To this, Kyrgios asked his fans to stay tuned, while revealing little about his participation in Team World’s efforts to retain the trophy.
