While the tennis world’s eyes are on the French Open where most of the big names are participating, Roger Federer has quietly been enjoying some fun outings in Paris. Recently, he was spotted playing tennis with a group of children at a UNIQLO event. The Swiss maestro looked as graceful as ever while holding the racket again. Subsequently, he was also seen performing a never-done-before activity.

Earlier this week, Federer visited the Ballet Opera de Paris where he was spotted trying to pirouette with fellow ballet dancers. While ballet dancing may be alien to him, Federer’s grace ensured his smooth transition from the tennis court to the floor. Ballet dancer, Aubane Philbert, took to her official Instagram handle and shared glimpses of Federer’s appearance in the ballet studio. She wrote, “Just a normal thursday…partnering with the legendary @rogerfederer during @laurentnovis  morning class. Tennis meeting Ballet.”

Despite the sporting genes in him, Federer is no stranger to dancing. He once shook his leg with children during his visit to Lesotho for philanthropic work. Additionally, he was also once spotted dancing with Mickey Mouse in Shanghai.

Although Federer performed ballet for the very first time, he has in the past been compared to a ballet dancer. The Swiss maestro was one of the most pleasing players to watch on the court, just like a ballet dancer is on the floor. As a result, renowned photographer, Radka Leitmeritz, once compared the Swiss maestro to a ballet dancer.

When Roger Federer was like ‘a ballet dancer’

She said, “I love shooting Roger, he’s like a ballet dancer. He’s just so perfect, how he plays is very photogenic. For me it’s so amazing to be in the photographers pit, sometimes I’m thinking what the hell am I doing here.”

Further, as Federer is in Paris currently, there have been rumors that he will attend the French Open. When asked about it, he didn’t make his intention clear about going to Roland Garros, saying, “I would like to go back there like at Wimbledon last year, but for a good reason, otherwise people will ask me: ‘what are you doing there?’”

However, in the past, Federer has admitted to attending some tennis tournaments this year. But the question is: Will the French Open be one of them?
