Additionally, the rivalry between them has been much sought after by the fans. They have enthralled one and all with their audacious displays on the tennis court.

While Nadal leads the pack with 22 Grand Slam titles, Djokovic and Federer follow him with 21 and 20 major titles, respectively. Despite Djokovic enjoying as much success as Federer and Nadal, tennis legend, John McEnroe feels that the former doesn’t get as much love and respect from the tennis fans.

During an interview, the American legend compared Djokovic to Federer and Nadal. He said, “Novak’s been battling for years to get the same level of love and respect as Rafa and Roger. And he could probably play to the end of time and that won’t happen.”

Further, he added, “I’m sure on some level that’s frustrating to him. It shows you just how great he really is. He’s been able to fuel him mentally to heights that no one thought was possible.”

Although Djokovic has made it to the US Open entry list, it remains highly unlikely that the Serb will be participating in the tournament owing to his vaccination status. Earlier this week, his official schedule indicated that he’ll skip the last Grand Slam tournament of the season.

American actor calls Djokovic the ‘GOAT’

While there has been a growing debate about the greatest player of all time in tennis, the American star, Adam Baldwin heaped praise on the 21-time Grand Slam champion, calling him the GOAT. Moreover, Baldwin also felt that Djokovic should not be denied a chance to participate in the tournaments because he chose ‘bodily autonomy.’
