In a recent conversation with Eurosport, John McEnroe talked about the possibility of Djokovic winning the 2023 Australian Open. According to the 7x Grand Slam champion, the current world number five has his eyes firmly fixed to overcome Rafa and become the greatest of all time. As Roger Federer is out of the goat competition now, the major record battle is between Djokovic and Nadal.
He said, “They’re both extraordinary in terms of their hunger, doing whatever it takes to win. So, the jury’s still out but now, I would call Novak the slight favorite. He will probably end up with two more at least.” Not only that, seeing the Spaniard’s health status and the way he ended his Australian Open journey, it’s a big question whether the Spaniard will play the French Open or not. Considering this, McEnroe has chosen his favorite.
