Tennis stars enjoyed the January month of 2022 season in intense matches at the Adelaide International. Meanwhile, taking a break from their hectic match schedule, American tennis star Coco Gauff and Russian player Karen Khachanov had a day off at the local zoo.

Interestingly, the tennis duo made some furry friends at the zoo. However, a monkey was in the mood to challenge the former world number 8 Karen Khachanov.

The tennis stars recently competed at the 2022 Adelaide International Championship in Australia. Despite their stellar run, Coco Gauff was defeated by Ashleigh Barty, while Karen was defeated by Gael Monfils. The stars are going to be in Australia for a while now and will compete at the Adelaide International 2, as they build up for the Australian Open 2022.

Meanwhile, amidst their schedule, tennis stars took some time off to visit the Adelaide Zoo. Coco and Karen had some fun times with Quokka and Kangaroos. Interestingly, Karen was left stunned by a monkey, who snatched the food from his hands.

Coco posted the hilarious interaction on her Instagram story, captioning, ”The monkey is 1-0 up against @karenkhachanov.” It’s always a delight for fans to not only watch their favorite players on the court but also off-court having fun with each other.

Gauff also posted some selfies of her with her zoo buddies captioning, ”swipe left to see the monkey smiling for my selfie.”

What’s next for Coco Gauff?

Coco will now compete at the Adelaide International 2, where she will face Katerina Siniakova in the first round. The third seed, 17-year-old American had previously defeated Katerina in Parma(2021).
