It was exactly one year ago when the Serbian tennis legend, Novak Djokovic, was banned from Australia due to his vaccination stance. The whole drama started after the 21-time singles Grand Slam champion announced he was going to Melbourne in order to participate in the Grand Slam event. However, upon reaching the country, Djokovic’s visa was canceled because of the strict immigration laws.

When the Serbian tennis player arrived in Australia in 2022, pandemic guidelines imposed by the government were strict and rigid. The Australian authorities banned unvaccinated foreign travelers. Consequently, Djokovic’s visa was canceled and it further led to his deportation.
