Recently, after triumphing over Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals, Medvedev recounted how a lot of Spanish fans had been trying desperately to get on his nerves while cheering on his 20-year-old rival. The 27-year-old tennis player was dominating in the semi-final clash against the 2023 Wimbledon champion. However, the third set almost saw him break form as Alcaraz started mounting a resilient comeback. Though the scales ultimately tipped in his favor, during the on-court interview, the third-ranked tennis player explained the clear reason behind how his momentum got destroyed in the final service game.

The Grand Slam finalist, who will now face off against Novak Djokovic, said, “The crowd was unbelievable. I mean it. I felt love to both sides. 1,000 Spanish guys at 5-3 started screaming between 1st & 2nd serves. That?s not so nice. But I guess they were desperate. They can go to sleep now.”?Medvedev clearly mentioned that a huge group of Spanish guys, with their unwanted screaming, distracted him while supporting their homeboy.

In a classic Medvedev retaliation, he made a taunting comment to the Spanish crowd regarding how, after the Spaniard’s defeat, they could have some peaceful time for themselves. Interestingly enough, this is not the first time Medvedev has bashed a fan during a match.

Just a few days ago, the Russian tennis player, during the third round of the last Grand Slam tournament of the year, became the target of jeers from a spectator sitting in the crowd. In order to fire back, the 27-year-old lashed out at a fan in a cheeky manner.?

When Medvedev lashed out at a fan with a cheeky comeback

During the third-round match against Sebastian Baez, a disruptive spectator was constantly shouting and heckling in between the serves, trying to distract him from his goal. Afterward, in an on-court interview, he gave a salty response to the fan. However, he thanked all the fans for not shouting in between the first and second serves, pointing out that one guy asking away a question regarding whether he has a wife or not.

Further, he also made fun of how his wife would sleep in the night, looking at the way he was so pumped up that he was going to spend the whole night shouting.
