The ATP website hasn’t updated Roger Federer as an inactive player yet

The ATP website has the record of players on the tour. It has both active and inactive players in its library. They make sure to differentiate the active ones from the retired tennis stars. However, in Federer’s case, they failed to do so. Even after months of Federer’s retirement, the ATP website hasn’t marked him as an inactive player.

Fans also noticed this thing and quickly jumped to the conclusion that even the ATP was hopeful of a return from Federer. A Reddit thread discussed the same.

Although, as per reports, the 41-year-old is in talks with BBC for a broadcasting role in the Wimbledon Championships. Federer has kept his distance from tennis after playing his last match at the Laver Cup last year.
