The Rafael Nadal Academy recently lost a beloved member of their family. And the loss has greatly upset the entire academy, including the Spaniard himself. Subsequently, the members of the academy paid an emotional tribute and even the 22-time Grand Slam champion was seen mourning the death of his beloved team member.

The RNA clan recently lost their monitor and receptionist, Dan. And the whole academy, including the students, team members, and the 36-year-old tennis star, gave a very special tribute to their beloved employee.

Rafael Nadal pays an emotional tribute to a member of his tennis academy 

The Rafael Nadal Academy recently announced the passing of a treasured employee by posting a heart-wrenching tribute on their official Instagram account. Additionally,  a special memorial service was held in his honor on March 24th, where everyone, including the Spaniard, paid tribute to their beloved employee on the academy grounds. The official account of the academy shared some pictures from the memorial service. Along with that, they wrote some heartfelt words for their fallen teammate.

The post was captioned, “We are heartbroken. Dan, even though you are no longer with us physically, we know you are taking care of us as you have always have done all over the years. The RNA family will never forget your smile and kindness. As you would have wanted us to say… May The Force Be With You.”

The loss visibly moved everyone at the memorial service, including the 36-year-old tennis player. The world number 13 has always maintained a solid bond with all of his team members and students. Not only that, Nadal often shows a lot of consideration for the Academy’s students and employees and never misses the chance to assist them when necessary. Back in 2020, during the pandemic, the former world number one opened his academy for students during the lockdown and provided every possible help at that time.

During the lockdown, the 22-time Grand Slam champion talked about how he was doing everything possible to help the children who were staying in his academy. And even at that time, the Spaniard was quite concerned about the children’s feelings while they were staying in the academy.

Not only that, he was constantly in touch with his team members while everything was under lockdown. He also explained how he inspired the students by encouraging them to maintain their passion and discipline. In addition, he also advised them to establish new routines. And make friends inside the academy so that they could communicate and share ideas.
