In a recent turn of events, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz got the chance to share the stage! The stars’ fans were really excited about their interview because the two of them will be playing at the Michelob Ultra Arena in the city of Las Vegas this Sunday. One of the things they addressed during their interview with Netflix was how Nadal wants to become Alcaraz’s rival in the coming months. Shocking, right? Well, he said they are not friends, but colleagues and rivals. Further he also expanded on how he wants to get more competitive with him.

While talking about how Rafael Nadal wants his relationship to transpire with Alcaraz, he said, “I would like to be my rival. As a rival, unfortunately, today I cannot be. There are weeks and a gravel season ahead of me and I hope at some point I can become his rival. Let’s see how things evolve and we are more than just companions. One thing is not at odds with the other either.

According to Nadal, he wants to play more against Carlos Alcaraz because he believes that it would be interesting for him. He wants to make their relationship more than just being companions in court. Even though he wanted to become a rival of the Spaniard, Nadal was also very appreciative of his opponent. He could not stop praising Carlos Alcaraz throughout the interview.

Rafael Nadal stated how he thinks that Carlos Alcaraz has some qualities that are very important, for playing on the court, and to be happy in life too.  “He has an energy, a passion, and a self-confidence that helps you face important moments with little fear,” said Nadal, praising the young tennis star.

Nadal also shared that the two of them have till now faced each other only three times, and there have been both good and bad battles for him. It has been a good preparation to play in other tournaments. He also stated that it is a privilege for him to have Carlos Alcaraz around.
