Novak Djokovic is back in his form, smashing balls at the Monte-Carlo tournament. With his groundbreaking performance in the tournament, he won over Alex De Minaur in his latest match. This has led him to enter the semifinals of the Monte-Carlo this season, breaking many records. And when Djokovic celebrated his victory through his latest tweet on his X, fans started showing more and more appreciation for his groundbreaking performance.

With 77 semifinals under his belt, Djokovic has surpassed Rafael Nadal’s 76 record for most semifinal appearances in the Masters 1000. Referring to this, he took to his Twitter and wrote, “Breaking. (Records)”. Since the Masters 1000 tournaments started in 1990, Novak Djokovic has been the most successful player. He has the most career Masters 1000 titles (40), followed by Rafael Nadal’s 36.

Adding to that, he also has the most Masters 1000 final appearances (58), again ahead of Nadal’s 53. And he elevates that statistical dominance to a new level with his victory over Alex de Minaur in Monte-Carlo quarterfinals.

The cherry on top of his most recent triumph is that Djokovic now has the best lifetime winning percentage in Masters 1000 history. It is 82.24% (403–87), which has crossed Rafael Nadal’s 82.17% (406–88). With his most recent win in Monte-Carlo, Djokovic also broke another record of being the oldest player to advance to the semifinals in the Open Era, at the age of 36. The previous mark was held by Nicola Pietrangeli, who did so at the age of 35 in 1969.
