The greatest tennis rivalry in the history of the sport touched a new high when Novak Djokovic won the Wimbledon Championships 2021. The World No.1 won his 20th Grand Slam yesterday, beating Matteo Berrettini in the finals, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3. Patrick Mouratoglou has created an excitement amongst the fans with his tweet.
The French tennis coach, who is coaching Serena Williams, has set up expectations for a star-studded US Open final in August, which has consequently, creating buzz around the tournament that begins in August after the Tokyo Olympics.

Patrick Mouratoglou on a potential Big 3 final at US Open
The debate for supremacy in the men’s category has been going on since a long time. Djokovic came in 10 years ago as a beginner, when Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were reigning supreme. However, the Serb has changed the course of the situation and sits at top with the two greats, with 20 Grand Slam titles. Patrick Mouratoglou has been coach Serena Williams since 2012 and is excited for the US Open.
“Novak vs Rafa or Novak vs Roger or Roger vs Rafa to lead 21/20/20. This match would be Gold !” said Mouratoglou in his tweet.
Novak Djokovic will be heading for Tokyo later this month, as he prepares for his maiden Olympic gold medal. He will be playing in New York in August, as he aims for his fourth title there.

Novak Djokovic chasing history after Wimbledon Championships win
Novak Djokovic reached his 20th Grand Slam title, sixth Wimbledon Championship and his third on the trot. The World No.1 has been playing the best tennis of his career, after starting the year out with a bang. He became the first player since Rod Laver to win the first three consecutive Grand Slams in a year.
Novak Djokovic can become the first player to complete the Golden Grand Slam in tennis. The player will have to win the Olympic Gold and the US Open, as a result of which he will create history yet again.
At the moment, he looks unstoppable in his current form and will be a favorite at both tournaments. However, only time and injury scare will let us know the complete story.

A final between either of the three players will be the blockbuster event of the year. As a result of the Wimbledon and Olympic withdrawal, Rafael Nadal will have time to recover and come back a strong competitor. On the other hand, Roger Federer has found his rhythm and flair after reaching the quarterfinals at SW19.
