As South Africa beat New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup final, two of the best players in the history of tennis made sure to attend the match and even cheer for their favorite teams. The Swiss Maestro Roger Federer attended the match along with his family, all of whom were decked out in South African colors and Rugby World Cup caps as they watched the side they were supporting secure a victory.

On the other hand, Novak Djokovic watched the match in a suit. However, he was also accompanied by Rita Ora in the stands. Despite the surprising companion of the Serb, it was their reaction to being filmed that caught everyone’s attention. It was a particular moment that showcased the hilarious facial expressions of the 24-time Grand Slam champion.

The Nole recently arrived in France to step up his preparation for the Paris Masters and took this opportunity to attend the Rugby World Cup final. He was spotted in the stands beside Rita Ora, who was attending the final alongside her husband Taika Waititi.

The reason why so many people find these two attending the match together funny is because of another laughable moment. The duo were filmed deep in conversation during the first half of the match between South Africa and New Zealand, which the Springboks won 12-11 to notch a record-breaking fourth World Cup triumph.

Djokovic looked to be deep in conversation with the British singer before she noticed the two of them on the big screens and let out a big wave. When Djoker saw himself on the screen, he let out an overdramatic gasp and appeared to be shocked. This was a hilarious moment for both Ora and Djokovic fans.

 

This is one of the reasons why, when fans spotted the two of them together, it instantaneously became the talk of the town. Moreover, apart from the billboard incident, Ora was recently in the news regarding the home country of Djokovic.

Rita Ora’s performance that led to controversy

Rita Ora was born in modern-day Kosovo, while Novak Djokovic traces his origins to Serbia. Both countries haven’t had a friendly history. In one of her recent concerts, Rita mistakenly danced and performed on stage with a Serbian flag after mistaking it for a Hungarian flag.

This incident led to a lot of social media backlash for Ora because fans assumed she was disrespectful towards her roots in Kosovo. She later clarified that it was a mistake as the flag was given to her by a fan and she could not see the flag clearly on stage the bright stage. However, as can be clearly seen, there is no animosity between the Serbian Djokovic and the Kosovo-born Ora.
