The WTA has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, as they have signed deals with several sponsors. With financial growth comes a chance for the organization to not only build better facilities but also close the gender pay gap. Following in their footsteps, the ATP recently announced that they have acquired new sponsors: a $1.3 trillion automobile giant. It is somewhat similar to the deal that the governing body of the women’s circuit, WTA, secured recently.

ATP adds another giant to its list of sponsors

Being one of the most famous sports associations in the world has once again worked out in ATP’s favor. The international men’s tennis organization announced their partnership with Lexus, a luxury car brand. Throughout the multi-year collaboration, Lexus will establish tournament partnerships in important regions. They will also engage premium fan demographics as the Official Car across a variety of ATP Tour tournaments.

Additionally, the Cinch Championships and Rothesay International, as well as the US Men’s Clay Court Championship, are part of the recent cooperation between Lexus and the Lawn Tennis Association in the UK. Starting this season, the ATP and Lexus will collaborate to forge new relationships with the players and tournaments.

The Women’s Tennis Association also received great news about the growth of their status. In March, the WTA announced that they will now partner with Morgan Stanley, an American multinational investment bank worth $144.2 billion. Morgan Stanley became the presenting partner of the WTA’s Come Play initiative. The initiative aims at improving the community and promoting the sport.

This is a lucrative deal for the Women’s Tennis Association, as they signed a big deal with Hologic in 2022 for new WTA labs. With new sponsorships coming up frequently, women’s tennis will be equal to men’s tennis in no time.
