The fifth installment of one of the most successful video games ever made in the tennis world is all set to make a return after a 13-year-long break. On that note, Medvedev was asked in a recent interview with the tennis channel about his thoughts on having the video game Top Spin 2k25 back.

Sharing his thoughts on the game he mentioned how soccer has been a dominating force in the gaming front. He said: “I think, let’s see how it is because I feel like so far we never had a game that would maybe it’s good but maybe not take control over like. And you know it’s like, you know, FIFA. Yes, play Pro Evolution Soccer somewhat close but it’s always FIFA. FIFA now FC, so let’s see if in tennis, we can have uh something like this and I think uh yeah it’s going to be good, if the game is good and uh even tennis players can play.”

The 28-year-old tennis star also highlighted how most people are behind FIFA in other sports while talking about online games. But now, he is quite optimistic regarding how the tennis version of the video game can be good for this sport. Even with early backing from the biggest names in tennis, such as Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, and Roger Federer, the once-thriving Top Spin franchise eventually lost steam and lay dormant for almost ten years following its nearly yearly releases.
