Also, the fact that the fourth edition took place at TD Garden in Boston prompted many to have Team World as favorites to win the title. However, things didn’t go well for McEnroe’s team as they managed to win only one match in three days, and lost eventually to Bjorn Borg’s team.

On Sunday, Europe needed only one doubles match to clinch their three points and claim their fourth consecutive title. The doubles pair of Alexander Zverev and Andrey Rublev got a stiff competition from Reilly Opelka and Denis Shapovalov throughout the match.

Even though Team World lost the first set, they didn’t lose their serve in the second set and it had to be decided on a tie-breaker. It was in the breaker where Team World got extensive support from the Boston crowd as they ensured Opelka and Shapovalov win the second set.
