Djokovic’s wife, Jelena, is active on social media and regularly shares updates on her daily life and activism across various platforms. Recently, she took to Instagram to share an emotional confession about the Novak Djokovic Foundation.

A few days ago, she was present at an event of the Serbinator’s eponymous foundation. Sharing glimpses of the event via a post on her official Instagram handle, she said, “Much love to our NDF team, they’ve been our rock and support. You are only as strong as your team. @novakfoundation What a journey we have together – through thick and thin! From trauma to healing – together.”

As Jelena was writing the message, emotions took the better of her. She concluded by saying, “I started writing in English for Gabor and now it might be silly for my fellow Serbian speaking community – sorry, Im a bit emotional.” Dr. Gabor Mate is an expert on trauma, addiction, stress, & childhood and works with the people afflicted with the same. Over the past few days, he has been associated with Djokovic’s foundation.

Jelena’s emotional note marked the drawing close of a tough year for Djokovic’s foundation. Earlier this year, they lost one of their key members. The world No. 1 tennis player’s wife broke the heartbreaking news as she expressed their shock at the sudden loss.

Novak Djokovic Foundation bid adieu to an important member

In July this year, Padma Rajan, a member of the NDF and one of its key contributors passed away shockingly. An Indian-origin entrepreneur, she was actively involved in charitable causes. Djokovic’s wife, Jelena, broke the unfortunate tragedy on social media.

She wrote, My condolences to the family, to her two children she loved and cared for very much. I am really sad and heartbroken to learn about her passing. Whole @novakfoundation loved her enthusiasm and passion for ECD and we valued her support over the years. May she rest in peace.”

Despite the tough days and the setbacks, Djokovic’s foundation continues to grow as they step up their efforts to make the world a better place to live in. Fans can take a leaf out of his books and support their inspirational champion in his noble cause.
