Whenever we talk about the US Open, the name of the last American male recipient of the title always comes up. Andy Roddick got the US Open title back in 2003. Since then, the US has been waiting for other male American players to clinch the title. However, Roddick is still the current name, despite his victory going two decades ago. Now, he has moved on to other off-court endeavors which may or may not have been preferred by other fellow players.

The recent partnership of the former American tennis star with an international online gambling platform has drawn a scoff from fellow tennis player, Corentin Moutet.

The American tennis player Andy Roddick retired with a legacy of clinching the US Open title on the home turf. However, after that his recurrent injuries hindered his growth on the court, eventually leading to his inevitable retirement. Nonetheless, he is a big name in the world of tennis and recently he made a significant step in his off-court endeavor.

Andy Roddick recently joined hands with an online betting company, Betway. He took to his Twitter to announce the news delightfully. He stated, “Really pleased to announce that I’ve become Betway’s new global tennis ambassador.

Roddick added, “Looking forward to providing my thoughts and insights on the biggest tournaments around the world and to help bring fans closer to the heart of the action.

However, fellow French tennis player, Corentin Moutet has scoffed at Roddick’s collaboration with Betway. To state his discontent, he stated, “Money can buy anything.”

He mocked Roddick for joining hands with a gambling company, a practice that has also been scorned by tennis fans.

It is because online gamblers have bullied a lot of tennis players and other sports athletes for their performance.
