The season’s first Grand Slam event saw two of the very finest players, Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas squaring off for the title. It was the Serbian tennis legend who prevailed in that thrilling matchup with his usual prowess in Melbourne Park. In the process of clinching his 10th Australian Open title, ‘Djoker’ equaled the record for most major titles in the men’s circuit. Subsequently, the Greek tennis player labeled him as the “GOAT’, making his stance clear in the long-standing GOAT debate, which also involves Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
However, now it looks like Tsitsipas has backtracked from his remarks as he has now put the Serb in the third spot behind his arch-rivals, Federer and Nadal. What could have forced the Greek star to reconsider his opinions about the ‘Big Three’?
