There is no denying that Tommy Paul has now become a household name in the tennis community. The young American tennis star experienced a breakthrough at the very start of this season when he reached the semifinal round of the Grand Slam event in Melbourne. Since then, the 26-year-old player has put on a spectacular display of his prowess in order to reach the top 15 in the ATP rankings.
Now, the currently ranked world no.13 has got the prestigious opportunity to be featured on the covers of the renowned magazine Vanity Fair. However, the ATP player hasn’t been quite impressed with his outfits for the cover shoot, as he recently voiced his opinions on the same.

Tommy Paul reveals how he was baffled by his Vanity Fair costume
The 26-year-old sensation was recently featured in an interview with the Tennis Channel, in which he emphasized his upcoming blockbuster Cincinnati Open match against Carlos Alcaraz. Meanwhile, Tommy Paul also got involved in an off-court discussion, his cover photoshoot for Vanity Fair magazine ahead of the US Open.
In the latest edition of the popular fashion magazine, the American world No. 13 was seen donning a unique alligator-skin trench coat. Taking note of the same, the ATP player was asked about his inspiration behind the grandiose looks. However, Paul said, “It wasn’t like we could go in there and pick our outfits, you know. So, it wasn’t my inspiration at all.”
The Australian Open semifinalist further disclosed that after trying on various different costumes, he was eventually given the extravagant alligator skin trenchcoat. But, Paul was quite surprised by that unique outfit as he expressed his bafflement during the honest conversation.
He added, “And they are like this is what you’re wearing and I’m like, ‘The Alligator Skin Trenchcoat, huh? That’s what I’m wearing'”
During the interview, Paul also lauded one of his compatriots, who has also been featured on the covers of the renowned magazine.

Paul is all praises for the WTA player’s looks for the Vanity Fair cover
Apart from the 26-year-old, other prominent American tennis players like Danielle Collins, Jessica Pegula, and Frances Tiafoe were also glammed up for the magazine. Notably, during the interview, Paul was asked about his opinion on the WTA superstar, Pegula’s stunning looks for the cover shoot.
In the US Open edition of the magazine, the 29-year-old player was all dazzled up in a light blue glamourous dress. Taking note of the same, Paul lauded her by saying, “Yeah, she looked great”.
