Brett Connors said, “He’s got a master’s 1000 hasn’t made a semi-final at a slam, I think that’s probably coming in 24. I think him working with Boris is a really good mix. I know, some people thought the styles might be different, but I don’t think it’s the tennis styles matching that need to be you know, that need to be similar. It’s more the off-court stuff, the personality stuff, all the little intricacies of a game and a match.” 

Elaborating on the preparation for a game, he continued, “Yeah, mental how you want to set up your season and schedule and how you want to, you know, maintain your body and get, you know, get it worked on and make sure you eat right. And all that stuff. I think I think Boris is gonna help him a lot. And I think Holger Rune is going to have a breakthrough breakthrough year in 24.”

Since the addition of Boris Becker, Rune has reached the semis in Basel and also made it to the QFs of Paris Masters. Djokovic even highlighted that Boris Becker will help him improve his game overall.

A few days back, Rune expressed his desire to reach the finals of AO 2024 and beat Novak Djokovic in the finals of the season-opening Grand Slam.
