The Spanish sensation, Carlos Alcaraz recently stunned the entire tennis realm by doing the unthinkable on the Centre Court. In a thrilling four-hour, 42-minute Wimbledon match, the young tennis star outperformed the 7-time champion, Novak Djokovic. At the mere age of 20, the Spaniard ended the Serb’s decade-long supremacy in the grass-court major event in London. Notably, after his British Slam triumph, the currently ranked world No. 1 player will now be honored in the form of a Caganer figurine of himself.
For the uninitiated, the traditional figurines depict some of the prominent figures in the sporting realm, who have achieved something of historic significance. Further, the figurines see these notable athletes in a ‘poo’ position. By getting a Caganer of himself, the reigning US Open champion has joined the likes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, who have their respective figurines. Here’s what you need to know about Alcaraz’s figurine, which has a special ‘Wimbledon’ touch to it.

Carlos Alcaraz receives a special ‘figurine’ honor after his Wimbledon triumph
According to a report from CatalanNews, the currently ranked world No. 1 player will soon be getting the prestigious traditional figurine of himself. The Spanish tennis sensation’s ‘Caganer’ will be seen in a Wimbledon avatar as it will be dressed up in the customary all-white dress of the event.
On top of this, the nativity figurine sees the young tennis star holding a racket in one hand and a tennis ball in the other. The figurines have long been a part of Catalan culture, as they are specially made during the Christmas season. Since the 18th century, these traditional figurines have largely depicted the peculiar meaning of their name, ‘Caganer,’ which translates as “the pooper.”
