VIDEO: A Sneak-Peak Into the Luxurious Rooms Provided by the Rafa Nadal Academy for Their Students

The Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy is one of the top tennis academies in the world. The academy is located in the former World No. 1 Rafael Nadal’s hometown, Manacor, Mallorca in Spain. What earlier used to be his training place, Nadal converted the training area to a high-performance tennis center. The academy was started in 2016, with Nadal’s friend and on-court rival Roger Federer invited as a guest. 

Players get the best of facilities at the academy. From different types of tennis courts, to a players’ lounge, a fitness center, health center, swimming pools, and a spa. However, even among these facilities, it is the luxurious rooms that take the spotlight.

Rooms at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy

The Rafa Nadal Academy houses 27 Tennis courts, in a combination of Outdoor Hard, Outdoor Clay, Indoor Hard, and Indoor Clay. The academy has one of the best sets of coaches, headed by Toni Nadal. Carlos Moya holds the post of technical Director at the academy.

The academy is filled with the best in class facilities for the players. However, when it comes to accommodation, the academy remains unmatched. Rafa Nadal Academy has luxurious double rooms for a comfortable stay for players. The room comes with a classy setup, with a huge bed, a large LED TV, cupboards, and a modern style washroom.  

However, if luxury is your thing, then the suite is the place for you. The suit consists of all the amenities of the normal room. But above that, is also has a huge seating space with a huge sofa and a kingsize bed, a movable 65 inch LED TV, a spacious balcony and a coffee machine. The suite also has bathtub instead of a shower in the washroom.

Rafael Nadal is one of the most celebrated players of all time. The Spaniard has always credited his fans for his success. With the opening up of this academy, he wants to pass his knowledge and expertise on to the future generation. 

“My future is here. I don’t imagine myself living away from Mallorca. The sport is my passion and creating this tennis academy is the most important part. You can also play lots of different sports here. I believe this is a center that kids need. I will be very involved,” he said

Nadal on the tour

Rafael Nadal ended his 2021 season in August 2021, because of a foot injury. The Spaniard underwent a long treatment until finally coming back on the court in January 2022 (and an exhibition tournament in December last year).

He started his 2022 season on a brilliant note, with a title at the ATP Melbourne 250 event. Winning the title gave a boost to his confidence as he entered the Australian Open. Entering the Australian Open 2022 as at the 6th seed, the 2009 champion was determined to win the Slam. Rewriting history, the Spaniard went on to win the finals, becoming the first man to win 21 Grand Slams.
